Sandra Laronde is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist working as a director, choreographer, producer, and storyteller.

For close to 30 years, she has accomplished numerous projects. All of her work is fundamentally based on ‘story’ and the exploration of story, cultural identity, and ongoing experimentation is paramount to her work.

Her body of work that she has created or co-created has led to powerful, transformational arts experiences as she strives to make a profound difference and impact. Much of her work is about expanding the Indigenous canon and awakening a wider ecological relationship to nature.

She has directed three digital films and has worked as a director and/or choreographer on Miigis: Underwater Panther, Trace, Adizokan, Backbone, Great Lakes, Tono, and Mistatim.  Sandra was also the director of Indigenous Arts at the Banff Centre for nine years where she created exceptional programming.
